| Treatment protocol |
Permenant ligation of the left anterior descending artery or sham surgeries were conducted. Mice were administered tamoxifen citrate diet ad libitum immediately after surgery to promote excession of myofibroblast yap and left ventricles were collected 4 days post injury.

Left ventricles of mice taken 4 days after surgery were homogenized in TRIzol. RNA was subsequently collected and purified by phenol/chloroform extraction. RNA quality was determined using an Agilent BioAnalyzer.

Sequencing was performed using a DNBSEQ-G400 platform at 20M single-end reads per sample.
Reads were filtered using SOAPnuke (v1.5.2) removing reads with adaptors and unknown bases > 0.1%.
Bowtie2 (v2.2.5) was used to map reads to the mm10
Expression data was generated using RSEM (v1.2.12)
Genome_build: mm10
Supplementary_files_format_and_content: FPKM values for each Sample and expression data for each experimental group (as indicated in the file name)
