All lambs were weaned at 90 days of age and then fostered under similar conditions at the research station of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tabriz, Tabriz, Iran (Khalatpoushan). The lambs were housed in individual pens and provided the same diet ad libitum for 120 days. Animals were slaughtered after 7 months.
