Extraction protocol 3-month-old GFAP-IL6 homozygous or wild-type mice were euthanized by cervical dislocation followed by decapitation. Frontal cortex was dissected and snap-frozen in RNAse-free tubes on dry ice. Total RNA was isolated by Trizol-chloroform extraction, followed by RNeasy clean-up.
