Total RNA was isolated using the NucleoSpin® totalRNA FFPE XS Kit (MACHEREY-NAGEL, Düren, Germany) according to the manufacturer's instructions. On-column DNaseI digestion was performed to avoid genomic DNA contamination.

Biotinylated cRNA were prepared usibg the GeneChip® WT Pico Reagent Kit from 100 ng total RNA (GeneChip® WT Pico Reagent Kit User Manual, Affymetrix).

Hybridization protocol |
Fifteen ug of cRNA were subjected to fragmentation using the 3' fragmentation buffer hybridized for 16 hr at 45C on GeneChip Drosophila Genome Array. GeneChips were washed and stained in the Affymetrix Fluidics Station 400.

GeneChips were scanned using the GeneChip® Scanner 3000 7G.
