Treatment protocol mNSCs were treated with adenoviral-GFP or adenoviral-Cre-recombinase available from VectorBiolabs.100MOI was used for infection. 24 hours post-infection, cells were washed and cultured in complete media.
Growth protocol mNSCs were cultured following the NeuroCult protocol In vitro proliferation and differentiation of mouse neural stem and progenitor cells using NeuroCult.

Extraction protocol RNA was isolated from cells following the Qiagen Rneasy mini kit.
Label biotin
Label protocol Total RNA were assessed for quality with Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer G2939A (Agilent Technologies,Santa Clara, CA)) and Nanodrop 8000 spectrophotometer (Thermo Scientific/Nanodrop, Wilmington, DE). Hybridization targets were prepared with Ambion WT Expression Kit Life Technologies/Ambion (Grand Island, NY) and Affymetrix GeneChip WT Terminal Labeling Kit from total RNA.
 
Hybridization protocol Product generated from the label protocol was hybridized onto the Affymetrix GeneChip Mouse Gene 2.0 ST array in Affymetrix GeneChip® hybridization oven 645, washed in Affymetrix GeneChip® Fluidics Station 450 according to standard Affymetrix GeneChip® Hybridization, Wash, and Stain protocols. (Affymetrix, Santa Clara,CA).
Scan protocol Arrays were scanned with Affymetrix GeneChip® Scanner 7G according to Affymetrix GeneChip protocols.

Data processing Affymetrix Expression Console was used for data processing and normalization. RMA normailzation was applied
