Title |
WWOX gene and estrogen receptor interplay in breast cancer |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing Other
|
Summary |
The aim of presented study was to assess the relationship between the presence of estrogen receptor and WWOX gene in breast cancer cell lines.

|
Overall design |
The study was based on estrogen-responsive (MCF7) and estrogen-unresponsive (MDA-MB-231, BT20) cell lines, for which depending on native expression, WWOX gene was either induced by retroviral transfection (MDA-MB-231) or silenced with shRNA (MCF7, BT20), and changes in the phenotype were estrogen stimulated. We have employed nAnT-iCAGE methodology for high-throughput gene expression profiling.
