    Summary
    Encodes a chloroplastic fructose 1,6-bisphosphate phosphatase. also known as HCEF1 (High Cyclic Electron Flow 1). hcef1 mutants have constitutively elevated electron flow (CEFI) and plants with antisense suppression of this enzyme have higher levels of net leaf photosynthesis and increased sucrose biosynthesis.
