    Summary
    cwINV4 appears to function as a cell wall-localized invertase (that can catalyze the hydrolysis of sucrose into fructose and glucose) based on the phenotype of cwinv4 mutants. cwINV4 transcripts are expressed at high levels in lateral and median nectaries and this enzyme plays an important role in nectar production.
