    Summary
    Encodes a member of the plant specific ovate protein family. Members of this family have been shown to bind to KNOX and BELL- like TALE class homeodomain proteins. This interaction may mediate relocalization of the TALE homeodomain from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. Functions as a transcriptional repressor that suppresses cell elongation.
