Biomarker of several diseases, including asthma; congestive heart failure; glomerulosclerosis (multiple); hypertension; and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in IgA glomerulonephritis; end stage renal disease; hypoglycemia; intellectual disability; and vesicoureteral reflux.
