    Summary
The protein encoded by this gene was previously thought to support proliferation of lymphoid cells and was identified in error as interleukin 25. This activity has not been reproducible, however, and the function of this protein is currently unknown. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
    Annotation information
Note: This gene was misidentified as IL25 due to the erroneous designation of AY038184.1 as belonging to SF20/IL25 in PMID 11714798. This paper, however, has since been retracted in PMID 12538725. [16 Aug 2013]

RefSeqs maintained independently of Annotated Genomes

These reference sequences exist independently of genome builds. Explain

These reference sequences are curated independently of the genome annotation cycle, so their versions may not match the RefSeq versions in the current genome build. Identify version mismatches by comparing the version of the RefSeq in this section to the one reported in Genomic regions, transcripts, and products above.
