    Summary
This gene is one of numerous cytochrome P450 genes that are present in several clusters throughout the genome, and it is a member of the family 2, subfamily d group of genes. This gene does not contain a functional open reading fame, and it is thus classified as a transcribed pseudogene. However, transcripts with a 1 nt deletion relative to the reference genome sequence have been found in some strains, and these would potentially encode a cytochrome P450 polypeptide. RefSeqs maintained independently of Annotated Genomes

These reference sequences exist independently of genome builds. Explain

These reference sequences are curated independently of the genome annotation cycle, so their versions may not match the RefSeq versions in the current genome build. Identify version mismatches by comparing the version of the RefSeq in this section to the one reported in Genomic regions, transcripts, and products above.

    1. NR_003552.1: Suppressed sequence

      Description
NR_003552.1: This RefSeq was removed because it is now thought that this gene does encode a protein.
