Summary
During exponential phase growth, expression of pqiAB is inducible by paraquat and other superoxide generators such as menadione, phenazine methosulfate, and plumbagin, but not by hydrogen peroxide, ethanol, and heat shock. pqiAB is a member of the soxRS regulon .
