SH3PX1 - SH3 and PX domain containing 1
Enables kinase binding activity and protein-macromolecule adaptor activity. Involved in several processes, including cellular response to hypoxia; lamellipodium assembly; and negative regulation of peptidoglycan recognition protein signaling pathway. Located in several cellular components, including neuronal cell body; presynaptic membrane; and subsynaptic reticulum. Is expressed in several structures, including adult head; cuboidal/columnar epithelium; embryonic/larval midgut; larval neurons; and larval ventral nerve cord. Used to study colorectal cancer. Orthologous to several human genes including SNX9 (sorting nexin 9). [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Dec 2024]
