Located in several cellular components, including T-tubule; Z disc; and basal plasma membrane. Part of dystroglycan complex. Is expressed in several structures, including ectodermal derivative; epithelium; germ layer; gut section; and visceral mesoderm derivative. Used to study lissencephaly; muscular dystrophy; and muscular dystrophy-dystroglycanopathy.
