RanGAP - Ran GTPase activating protein
Enables GTPase activator activity and RNA binding activity. Involved in protein export from nucleus and regulation of nucleocytoplasmic transport. Located in perinuclear region of cytoplasm. Is expressed in several structures, including CNS glial cell; anlage in statu nascendi; endoderm anlage; head epidermis primordium; and mesoderm. Orthologous to human RANGAP1 (Ran GTPase activating protein 1). [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Nov 2024]
