Involved in several processes, including germ-line stem-cell niche homeostasis; nervous system development; and positive regulation of receptor signaling pathway via JAK-STAT. Is expressed in several structures, including adult brain cell body rind; epithelial cell; epithelium; germline cell; and neuroblasts. Used to study acquired metabolic disease.
