Acts upstream of or within lipid homeostasis. Located in chromatin and nucleus. Is expressed in several structures, including body wall musculature; hypodermis; neurons; reproductive system; and vulval precursor cell. Used to study leukemia and restless legs syndrome. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in alcohol dependence; cleft palate, cardiac defects, and intellectual disabillity; learning disability; open-angle glaucoma; and orofacial cleft (multiple).
