Summary
This gene represents a small RNA that is related to tRNA and is localized to the cytoplasm. This RNA is not thought to be transcribed independently, but is instead cleaved by RNase P and RNase Z from the Malat (metastasis associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1) long non-coding RNA precursor transcript.
