Expression of IDO1-2, iNOS and interferon-inducible GTPases in Chlamydia muridarum infected BALB/c mouse lung tissues

(Submitter supplied) We wanted to screen the expression of known and putative antichlamydial genes in vivo. As an open approach, we performed RNA sequencing of Chlamydia muriadrum infected mouse lung tissues. RNA seq revealed that a diverse set of antichlamydial genes were induced by the infection, including previously described unique human and murine genes. We further characterized the source and activity of indolamine 2,3-dioxygenase genes, previously described as key human effectors.

Gene expression profiling of IDO-competent dendritic cells

(Submitter supplied) Although much is known on the transcriptional profiles of dendritic cells (DCs) during maturation, the molecular switches critical for the acquisition of a tolerogenic program by DCs are still obscure. Interferon-gamma tolerogenic effect on CD8+ dendritic cells

Analysis of splenic CD8+ dendritic cells (DCs) rendered tolerogenic by interferon (IFN)-γ, which activates indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) thereby initiating immunosuppression. Results suggest the IDO-dependent tolerogenic program requires tight co-modulation of a very restricted set of genes.
