Expression profling of Arabidopsis sto2 mutant

(Submitter supplied) STO2 is a novel MYB like protein which belongs to one of the most important transcription factors in planta. Microarray analysis of sto2 null mutant compared to Columbia with three-week-old soil-grown plants revealed that STO2 function in ABA and salt stress response.

expression data of WT and ced1 under osmotic stress

(Submitter supplied) ced1 mutant has reduced expression of NCED3 in response to osmotic stress (polyethylene glycol) treatments compared to the wild type. Other ABA biosynthesis genes are also greatly reduced in ced1 under osmotic stress. We used microarrays to detail the global programme of gene expression under osmotic stress treatment and identified distinct classes of up/down-regulated genes in the stress pathway.

Transcriptomic analysis of the voz1 voz2 double mutant

(Submitter supplied) Plants adapt to abiotic and biotic stresses by activating abscisic acid-mediated (ABA) abiotic stress-responsive and salicylic acid-(SA) or jasmonic acid-mediated (JA) biotic stress-responsive pathways, respectively. Although the abiotic stress-responsive pathway interacts antagonistically with the biotic stress-responsive pathways, the mechanisms that regulate these pathways remain largely unknown. more...

Transgenic and conventional cultivar comparison in response to salt stress

(Submitter supplied) Soybean is one of the main sources of oil worldwide. Salinity severely affect its yield. GmSIN1 is a NAC transcription factor coding gene. Its overexpression (OE) transgenic lines greatly improved the yield in both common and saline fields. This study focuses on founding changes genes between GmSIN1 OE transgenic seedlings and control seedlings under salt stress or non-salt stress conditions. Illumina Solexa sequencing platform was used for the comparative analysis of transcriptome profiles in the roots and leaves of GmSIN1 OE transgenic seedlings and WEI6823 (control) seedlings under mock or 150 mM NaCl treatment for 6 hrs.

Expression data of WT (NCED3pro:LUC transgenic plants, gl1 Columbia background) and ced2 under osmotic stress

(Submitter supplied) ced2 mutant has reduced expression of NCED3 in response to osmotic stress (PEG, polyethylene glycol) treatments compared to the wild type. Other ABA biosynthesis genes are also greatly reduced in ced2 under osmotic stress. We used microarrays to detail the global programme of gene expression under osmotic stress treatment and identified distinct classes of up/down-regulated genes in the stress pathway.

Genomewide identification of LHY binding targets

(Submitter supplied) The plant circadian clock enables plants to adjust their physiology and modulate their developmental responses in anticipation of diurnal and seasonal changes in environmental conditions. Thus, it makes an important contribution to overall fitness. The complex regulatory network underlying the oscillatory mechanism of the clock is now well characterized, but we still know relatively little about how downstream processes are controlled. more...

WRKY33-dependent expression of Arabidopsis genes upon Botrytis cinerea 2100 inoculation

(Submitter supplied) The Arabidopsis thaliana mutant wrky33 is highly susceptible to the necrotrophic fungus Botrytis cinerea. Comparing the expression profiles of B. cinerea-infected wrky33 and WT plants we identified 2765 differentially expressed genes dependent on WRKY33, of which 1675 were up-regulated in the mutant (termed WRKY33-repressed genes) and 1090 were down-regulated in the mutant. Combined with ChIP-seq data 318 genes were identified as direct functional targets of WRKY33 at 14 h post inoculation with spores of Botrytis cinerea 2100.

WRKY33 binding sites in Arabidopsis upon Botrytis cinerea 2100 inoculation

(Submitter supplied) The Arabidopsis thaliana mutant wrky33 is highly susceptible to the necrotrophic fungus Botrytis cinerea. We identified by ChIP-seq >1680 high-confidence WRKY33 binding sites associated with 1576 genes within the Arabidopsis genome, with all of them being dependent on rapid activation of WRKY33 expression by Botrytis cinerea strain 2100. Genome-wide transcriptional analysis defined 318 genes as direct functional targets at 14 h post inoculation. more...

The LSM1-7 Complex Differentially Regulates Arabidopsis Tolerance to Abiotic Stress Conditions by Promoting Selective mRNA Decapping

(Submitter supplied) We report the role of LSM1-7 complex in the Arabidopsis tolerance to abiotic stresses. LSM1-7 controls gene expression reprogramming at the post-transcriptional level by promoting the decapping of mRNA. This function is selectively achieve over selected stress-induced transcripts depending on stress nature.

Microarray analysis of transcriptional responses to abscisic acid and salt stress in Arabidopsis thaliana

(Submitter supplied) To investigate differences in plant responses to salt and ABA stimulus, differences in gene expression in Arabidopsis in response to salt and ABA were compared using an Agilent oligo microarray. Four-week-old Arabidopsis thaliana ecotype Columbia (Col-0) seedlings were treated with either 150 mM NaCl or 10 μM ABA for 6 hours; unstressed seedlings (control sample) were collected in parallel to avoid the possible effects of circadian rhythms. more...

Genome wide expression analysis of EST-induced MYB112 (MYB112-IOE) using Affymetrix ATH1 array

(Submitter supplied) Global transcriptome patterns were determined in MYB112-IOE seedlings induced for 3 h and 5 h with b-estradiol in order to identify the genes early regulated by MYB112 transcription factor. We used microarrays to identify genes differentially expressed in EST-inducible MYB112 over-expression line #1, 3 h and 5 h after 10µM EST induction, compared to mock treated plants. Two independent biological replications were performed for 5 h timepoint and one replicate for 3 h timepoint.

Peptide ligand-mediated trade-off between plant growth and stress response

(Submitter supplied) The decision of whether to grow or to divert energy to stress response is a key physiological trade-off for plants seeking to survive under fluctuating environments. However, the cell-to-cell communication underlying this decision is largely unknown. Here we show that three orphan leucine-rich repeat receptor kinases (LRR-RKs) act as direct ligand-perceiving receptors for PSY-family peptides and play a key role in local switching between two opposing pathways. more...
