CCSK

(Submitter supplied) Clear cell sarcoma of the kidney (CCSK), the second most common renal tumor in children, poses significant diagnostic challenges. No diagnostic positive markers are available, and the pathogenesis of CCSK remains an enigma. To address these challenges, the gene expression patterns of fourteen CCSKs were compared to fifteen Wilms tumors (WT) and three fetal kidney samples using oligonucleotide arrays. more...

Expression data from brain tissue of Rattus norvegicus treated with D-Serine

(Submitter supplied) d-serine is naturally present throughout the human body. It is also used as add-on therapy for treatment-refractory schizophrenia. d-Serine interacts with the strychnine-insensitive glycine binding site of NMDA receptor, and this interaction could lead to potentially toxic activity (i.e., excitotoxicity) in brain tissue. The transcriptomic changes that occur in the brain after d-serine exposure have not been fully explored. more...

D-serine effect on the brain: dose response

Analysis of forebrains of animals treated with up to 500 mg/kg D-serine for 96 hours. D-serine is involved in many physiological processes through its interaction with the glycine binding site of the NMDA receptor. Results provide insight into the impact of D-serine exposure on neuronal functions.

DNA methylation analysis of Rhabdoid tumor of the kidney, Clear cell sarcoma of the kidney and Ewing's sarcoma family of tumors

(Submitter supplied) Genome wide DNA methylation profiling of Rhabdoid tumor of the kidney, Clear cell sarcoma of the kidney, Ewing's sarcoma family of tumors and non-neoplastic kidney. The Illumina Infinium HumanMethylation 27 BeadChip was used to obtain DNA methylation profiles across approximately 27000 CpGs . Samples included 3 Rhabdoid tumor of the kidney, 3 Clear cell sarcoma of the kidney, 3 Ewing's sarcoma family of tumor and 3 non-neoplastic kidney.

Gene expression profile of extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma.

(Submitter supplied) Abstract: Extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma (EMC) is a soft tissue tumour that occurs primarily in the extremities and is characterized by a balanced translocation most commonly involving t(9;22) (q22;q12). The morphological spectrum of EMC is broad and thus a diagnosis based on histology alone can be difficult. Currently, no systemic therapy exists that improves survival in patients with EMC. In the present study, gene expression profiling has been performed to discover new diagnostic markers and potential therapeutic targets for this tumour type. more...

Dysregulated Signalling leads to altered cell migration: an oncogenic basis for the development of CCSK

(Submitter supplied) The oncogenic mechanisms and tumour biology underpinning Clear Cell Sarcoma of Kidney (CCSK), the second commonest paediatric renal malignancy, are poorly understood and currently therapy depends heavily on Doxorubicin with cardiotoxic side-effects. Previously, we characterised the balanced t(10;17)(q22;p13) chromosomal translocation, identified at that time as the only recurrent genetic aberration in CCSK. more...

Aberrant epigenetic regulation in clear cell sarcoma of the kidney (CCSK)

(Submitter supplied) Methylation array analyses of 30 CCSKs in comparison with 18 Wilms tumours and normal non-malignant kidneys (2 foetal kidneys and 6 adult kidneys) revealed CCSK tumour DNA to be globally hypermethylated. Four CCSKs, two WTs, two foetal kidneys and 2 adult kidneys were analysed as technical duplicates on different arrays.

NHGRI_Sarcoma_Baird

(Submitter supplied) Sarcomas are a biologically complex group of tumors of mesenchymal origin. By using gene expression microarray analysis, we aimed to find clues into the cellular differentiation and oncogenic pathways active in these tumors as well as potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets. We examined 181 tumors representing 16 classes of human bone and soft tissue sarcomas on a 12,601-feature cDNA microarray. more...
