Breast carcinomas and local recurrence

Analysis of primary breast carcinoma tumors from 50 patients who received breast-conserving therapy (BCT). 19 patients subsequently developed a local recurrence of the carcinoma. 9 recurrent tumors also examined. Compared to mastectomy, BCT is associated with a higher rate of local recurrence.

NKI-AVL Homo sapiens 18K cDNA microarray

(Submitter supplied) he human cDNA arrays we print contain a part of the sequence verified Invitrogen cDNA library of 45K. We selected the genes that are named as well as added a collection of ESTs to print on the array. This means that approximately 11000 sequences belong to named genes of which around 7000 are unique.
