Transcriptomic analysis of water- versus Xcf-inoculated common bean seeds at three developmental stages

(Submitter supplied) transcriptome approach was performed at three stages of seed development during seed filling, seed maturation and seed maturity to compare between seed transcriptomes from Xcf-inoculated and water-inoculated seeds.

FAIRE (Formaldehyde-Assisted Isolation of Regulatory Elements) analysis of chromatin accessibility in kidney bean under drought stress

(Submitter supplied) Purpose: To identify nucleosome-depleted regions in response to drought in the kidney bean, a genome-wide chromatin profiling strategy was implemented. A better understanding of these OCRs (Open chromatin regions) will be useful in exploring potential genomic regions for crop improvement. Results: Using a comprehensive FAIRE-Seq approach, nucleosome-free chromatin regions were explored in kidney bean (Phaseolus vulgaris. more...

Differential analysis of host small RNAs identified conserved and new miRNAs that affect nodulation and strain selectivity in the Phaseolus vulgaris- Rhizobium etli symbiosis

(Submitter supplied) We report an small RNA sequencing (sRNA-seq) approach to identify host sRNAs involved in the nitrogen fixing symbiosis between Mesoamerican Phaseolus vulgaris and Rhizobium etli strains with different degrees in nodulation efficiency. This approach identified conserved and known microRNAs (miRNAs) differentially accumulated in Mesoamerican P. vulgaris roots in response to a highly efficient strain, to a less efficient one or to both strains.

Global transcriptome of Helianthus annuus, Beta vulgaris, Ricinus communis and Phaseolus vulgaris healthy plants and plant infected by the fungal pathogen Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (strain 1980)

(Submitter supplied) Quantitative disease resistance (QDR) is a form of plant immunity conserved across species able to limit infections caused by a broad range of pathogens. QDR has a complex genetic determinism, the bases of which are not fully understood. The number of genes contributing to the QDR response and the extent to which molecular components of the QDR response vary across plant species remain elusive. The fungal pathogen Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, causal agent of white mold disease on hundreds of plant species, triggers QDR responses in host populations. more...
