Description

The G1992D variant in the GPR179 gene has not been reported previously as a pathogenic variant, nor as a benignvariant, to our knowledge. The G1992D variant is observed in 225/66728 alleles (0.337%) alleles from individuals ofEuropean (Non-Finnish) background in the ExAC dataset (Lek et al., 2016). The G1992D variant is anon-conservative amino acid substitution, which occurs at a position that is not conserved. In silico analysis isinconsistent in its predictions as to whether or not the variant is damaging to the protein structure/function. Weinterpret G1992D as a variant of uncertain significance.
