Description

This variant is interpreted as a Likely Pathogenic, for Retinitis pigmentosa 39, in Autosomal Recessive manner. The following ACMG Tag(s) were applied: PM2 => Absent from controls (or at extremely low frequency if recessive) in Exome Sequencing Project, 1000 Genomes Project, or Exome Aggregation Consortium. PP3 => Multiple lines of computational evidence support a deleterious effect on the gene or gene product. PM3-Strong => PM3 upgraded in strength to Strong (PMID:22334370) (PMID:25649381).

Description

The USH2A c.10073G>A variant was identified in an individual with retinitis pigmentosa with a presumed recessive inheritance pattern. Through a review of available evidence we were able to apply the following criteria: PS1, PM2, PM3, PP3. Based on this evidence we have classified this variant as Likely Pathogenic.
