A drug used with other drugs to treat colorectal cancer that has spread to other parts of the body and has not gotten better with other chemotherapy. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. Zaltrap blocks a protein called VEGF, which may prevent the growth of new blood vessels that tumors need to grow.
