Consistent with the process used by scholarly journals, each Diabetes in America article is reviewed by the scientific editors plus two to three experts on the disorder who check the entry for accuracy, completeness, and clinical relevance. Reviewers are anonymous to authors.
Updates
Every five or six years, Diabetes in America Steering Committee members and Scientific Editors undertake a comprehensive review of chapter content and format to ensure its currency and assessment of epidemiologic, public health, clinical research, and clinical trial data focused on diabetes, its complications and treatment, health care utilization, and diabetes prevention in the United States.
Revisions
Time-critical revisions to a Diabetes in America are initiated by the editorial staff or the author(s) when a clinically significant development needs to be published.
