Description

Strain UP-MMC-NIID HP was derived from strain UP-MMC-NIID by serial subculture after 67 passages at the University of the Ryukyus. Strain UP-MMC-NIID was derived from strain UP-MMC by inoculation into C3H/HeJ mice more than 10 times at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases. Strain UP-MMC was isolated from the blood of a human patient with severe leptospirosis at the University of the Philippines in 1998.
