Amborella trichopoda grown from wild collected seed at the University of California Santa Cruz Arboretum and vegetatively propagated from cuttings also located at University of Florida and Atlanta Botanic Garden. Original location of wild collected seed in New Caledonia is unknown. This is the primary isolate for sequencing the Amborella trichopoda reference genome.
