Description

It was isolated from a sample of nitrifying sludge from the activated sludge treatment system at Terminal Maritimo Almirante Barroso/TEBAR. This isolation aimed to elucidate the metabolic pathway of heterotrophic nitrifiers/aerobic denitrifiers, being able to verify if the enzymes involved in the processes of autotrophic nitrification and anaerobic denitrification that are present in this isolate and later compare their enzymes with other heterotrophic nitrifying and aerobic denitrifying isolates, alike to find molecular marker for process optimization in effluent treatment plant
