Description

The inbred strain CFB2252 was initially isolated as a single female from a decaying marigold flower in India. It underwent twenty sib-matings, with expansion every five generations. Then, for twenty-two generations, a single gravid female was selected for propagation. The population was subsequently expanded for eight generations. Finally, the strain underwent forty generations of single-female propagation.
