Description

A strain of Borrelia hermsii identified in Ornithodoros hermsi tick in 1968 and isolated in laboratory mice by Willy Burgdorfer of the Rocky Mountain Laboratory of the National Institutes of Health. It was subsequently isolated in culture in Kelly's Medium by Herbert Stoenner of the RML and thereaftercloned by limited dilution.
