To analyse the whole genome sequence of Orientia tsutsugamushi isolated in cell culture from PBMCs of patients with suspected scrub typhus.
To identify and characterize SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphism), recombinatorial events and InDels of our isolates or sequences.
To perform comparative genomic analysis of the locally circulating O. tsutsugamushi strains with all global isolates of Orientia tsutsugamushi.
The landmark and first-time generated whole genome data will provide an understanding of the evolutionary status of our isolates including recombinatorial events, duplication of genes and divergence.
Further, we will get information on the core genome and accessory genomes of these strains
