African rhinoceros

The evolutionary history of African rhinoceros

The project aimed to sequence and de novo assemble the first fully annotated black rhinoceros reference genome, and compared it with available genomes of other black and white rhinoceros to elucidate the occurrence of interspecific gene flow and the evolution of specialization in black and white rhinoceros.
