Lawsonia intracellularis PHE/MN1-00. Lawsonia intracellularis PHE/MN1-00 was isolated from intestinal mucosal lesions in pigs that had proliferative enteropathy (PE). When introduced into health pigs, this organism produced the clinical and histological signs of PE.
