UBE2A is an E2 ubiquitin conjugating enzyme. Mutations in its gene have been associated with the X-linked Intellectual Disability type Nascimento syndrome. To obtain insights into the consequences of UBE2A activity deficiency in neurons, RNA sequencing transcriptomic analysis were conducted on cortical and hippocampal brain regions from adult WT and UBE2A-deficient knock-in mice, as well as on DIV14 cultured primary hippocampal neurons.
