Transcriptome sequencing of mandibular glands of Apis cerana and Apis mellifera

Hydroxy fatty acids are produced by mandibular glands of worker bee, and during brewing and harvesting processes, honey may contain tissue cells, bodily fluids, or limb residues of bees, so it is hypothesized that the differential RNA components involved in the synthesis of hydroxy fatty acids originating from bees can serve as indicators to identify the entomological source of honey.
