Nearly every member has the PEP-CTERM sequence at its C-terminus (or a related variant), a single for recognition and processing by exosortases, and probably for covalent attachment to components of the outer membrane after cleavage and transpeptidation. This HMM appears to be related to PF04151.15, which describes a domain often found in the C-terminal regions of peptidases.

Nearly every member has the PEP-CTERM sequence at its C-terminus (or a related variant), a single for recognition and processing by exosortases, and probably for covalent attachment to components of the outer membrane after cleavage and transpeptidation. This HMM appears to be related to PF04151.15, which describes a domain often found in the C-terminal regions of peptidases.
