DEXH-box helicase domain of Mot1; Modifier of transcription 1 (Mot1, also known as TAF172 in eukaryotes) regulates transcription in association with TATA binding protein (TBP). Mot1, Ino80C, and NC2 function coordinately to regulate pervasive transcription in yeast and mammals. Mot1 is a member of the DEAD-like helicase superfamily, a diverse family of proteins involved in ATP-dependent RNA or DNA unwinding. This domain contains the ATP-binding region.
