BamD lipoprotein, a component of the beta-barrel assembly machinery; BamD, also called YfiO, is part of the beta-barrel assembly machinery (BAM), which is essential for the folding and insertion of outer membrane proteins (OMPs) in the OM of Gram-negative bacteria.
